The Lawn Chair Incident

More information on scripts from WordPlay.
Explores the concepts of worry, other people's opinions, and perfectionism at the expense of enjoying life to the fullest. Loosely based on Luke 10:38-42.
Quick glimpse:

JILL: Nothing’s wrong, ok?! I just want things to look nice for the Skeltons.

HANK: Honey, we’ve known Bill and Michelle for 3 years. They’re our best friends. They’ve seen our house a heck of a lot worse than this. They don’t care whether or not our grill is clean.

JILL: Well, then, I care, ok?

HANK: But you’re not like this when it’s just us. It doesn’t matter to you then whether I’ve folded up a lawn chair. So it’s got to be for the Skeltons.

JILL: Pardon me for caring what our friends think of us.

HANK: But IT DOESN’T MATTER TO THEM! We go over there all the time and things aren’t always neat and tidy.

JILL: That’s different.

HANK: How?! How is it different? If you’re not uncomfortable when we go over to their place, why would they be uncomfortable here?
