More information on scripts from WordPlay.
A man talks to his friend about his past relationships in anticipation of proposing to his girlfriend.

A dramatic script dealing w/ issues of forgiveness, confession, guilt and redemption.
Quick glimpse:

CRAIG: Ah. Did Greta find out?

DANNY: No, we broke up like a week after that. I think that night is when I knew it was over. But it’s bothered me ever since. I mean, maybe things were finished with Greta and I, maybe she didn’t pay enough attention to me, or didn’t seem interested in my life, or whatever, but the bottom line is that I cheated on someone who cared about me. There’s no getting around that.

[Momentary silence]

CRAIG: So how does this affect you and Betty?

DANNY: Well, I don’t know. It’s not like I’ve cheated on HER or anything. It’s just…what if she finds out? I mean, I wouldn’t want to hear about her sleeping with someone, even if it was five years ago, and especially not if she was cheating on her boyfriend when she was doing it.

CRAIG: But it would be worse if she heard from someone else, right?

DANNY: Well, yes.

CRAIG: Well, I think you have to tell her, then. I mean, I don’t know the whole situation, but you have to tell her if for no other reason than it’s obviously bothering you. Trust me, man, if you think you’re going to marry this girl someday, it’s a lot easier to tell her in the beginning than it is 6 years down the road.

DANNY: I just don’t want to hurt her.
