Mahoney, a teen, is recovering from an organ transplant occurring two weeks previous. He is visited by his high school friends and later a man who ends up being the father of his donor. The father wants to get to know Mahoney and become a part of his life, while Mahoney wants nothing to do with him. He finds out that their friends had a small part in bringing them together. Mahoney finally agrees to give the father a chance.

The analogy here is God giving his Son?s life so that man could be spared in order to have a relationship with the Father.
